I was first introduced to this song (A Bird Without Wings by Celtic Thunder) by my husband when we were dating and I found it to be very moving. There are many people in my life who I feel have had a huge impact on my life. They have helped me to develop and grow--they have ensured that I didn't feel like a bird without wings. This song could apply to many different people in our lives--parents, spouses, dear friends, etc. As I watch this video, however, the way the placement of the young boy (Damien McGinty,who as a fabulous voice, by the way) in contrast with the older singer (George Donaldson) makes me think of the support we receive from those who are no longer with us in this life and our Father in Heaven--those who watch over us constantly to make sure we are all right and try to help us reach our full potential. Especially as we rely on the Lord for guidance, we can be led in all that we do.
